Procedure

Every permanent makeup treatment begins with a detailed consultation to analyse your face shape,

skin tone, and hair colour, ensuring the perfect pigment match and design.

Your enhancement is pre-drawn with conventional makeup so you can approve the look before treatment begins.

A numbing agent is then applied for comfort, and pigment is gently infused into the skin using a precision handpiece.

An aftercare balm is applied post-treatment, and it’s important to keep the area clean and dry while healing.

Small scabs may form and should fall off naturally within 7–10 days to ensure even results.

Because this is a two-step process, a touch-up session is booked 4–6 weeks later to perfect the colour and shape.

Beautifully designed. Comfortably applied. Long-lasting results.

Aftercare & Healing Guide

Proper care after your permanent makeup treatment is essential for the best, long-lasting results. Follow the steps below carefully to ensure beautiful healing.

GENERAL AFTERCARE

  • Mild swelling, redness, tenderness, or bruising may occur for up to 4 days.

  • Avoid for 2 weeks: direct sun, tanning, Jacuzzis, saunas, pools, salt water, and direct shower spray. Take baths instead.

  • No makeup or beauty treatments near the area for 5 days.

  • Inform your doctor about your permanent makeup before any chemical peels, eye surgery, or MRI scans.

  • You may be unable to donate blood for 1 year.

  • Healing takes around 14 days (longer if immune system is weak, stressed, or diet is poor).

  • Some uneven colour or fading (up to 80%) is normal - a touch-up after 4–6 weeks may be needed.

  • Follow-up appointment (4–6 weeks) ensures even colour and long-lasting results.

EYEBROW AFTERCARE

  • Wait 2 hours, then gently cleanse with CETAPHIL or Pure Skin Cleanser and pat dry (no rubbing).

  • Apply a thin layer of healing balm or coconut oil 3× daily.

  • Anti-inflammatory medication may help reduce swelling in the first 48 hours.

  • Do not rub, pick, or scratch - allow scabs to fall off naturally to prevent scarring.

  • Keep hair away from the area to avoid infection.

For the first 10 days:

  • Avoid sleeping on your face.

  • Avoid heavy sweating, swimming, saunas, or steam rooms.

  • No makeup, creams, or other products on the treated area.

For 4 weeks:

  • No facials, Botox, chemical peels, or microdermabrasion.

  • Avoid direct sun or tanning.

Long-term care:

  • Keep retinol or acid skincare away from brows.

  • Always wear sunscreen — UV exposure fades pigment faster.

EYELINER AFTERCARE

  • Apply ice packs (wrapped in cloth) during the first few days to reduce swelling.

  • Dry healing gives the best results - if eyes are watery, apply healing balm or Vaseline 3× daily until scabs are gone.

  • If redness or discharge appears, use an antibiotic eye cream from your pharmacy.

  • Lashes may stick together - gently clean with damp cotton pads (no splashing water).

  • If the area gets wet, pat dry gently with a clean tissue.

  • Do not pick, peel, or rub; mild itching is normal - tap gently with a clean cotton bud if needed.

  • Avoid contact lenses for 24 hours and eye makeup for 5 days.

  • Wear sunglasses for the first 2 days to protect your eyes.

  • Replace old mascara before resuming makeup use.

  • No eyelash tinting, curling, or extensions for 2 weeks.

LIP AFTERCARE

  • Apply ice packs (wrapped in cloth) for the first few days to reduce swelling.

  • Do not pick, peel, or rub any flaking skin - allow it to shed naturally to avoid pigment loss or scarring.

  • Use a healing balm regularly with a clean cotton bud.

  • Clean lips twice daily with damp cotton pads and keep dry - gently pat if wet.

  • Avoid spicy or salty foods and drink through a straw for 3 days.

  • No kissing for 5 days.

  • If you’re prone to cold sores, use Zovirax or anti-herpes medication 5× daily for 1 week (outbreaks may occur around day 3).

  • Mild dryness can last up to 3 weeks.

  • Avoid bleaching, waxing, electrolysis, or laser near the lips for 2 weeks.

  • Colour appears darker for 4–5 days, then fades before softening into its final shade over 2–6 weeks.

  • Apply sunscreen balm daily - sun exposure fades pigment faster.

FOLLOW UPS & TOUCH-UPS

  • Follow-up assessments are only done after 4 weeks to allow full healing.

  • Please schedule a 10-minute check-up between 4–6 weeks after your initial procedure - this consultation is free of charge.

  • Refinement touch-ups are available at 30–50% of the original cost, if completed within 3 months of your first treatment.

  • If you experience any concerns, please contact Leanne directly for guidance before seeking other treatment.

FAQs

Does the treatment hurt?

A topical numbing agent is applied to minimize discomfort. Most clients feel little to no pain, though a mild stinging sensation may occur on sensitive areas like the lips.

Is there a risk of infection?

The risk is minimal. Equipment and surfaces are fully disinfected after every client, and detailed aftercare instructions are provided to prevent infection.

Do I have input in the final look?

Yes, you’ll choose your colour, shape, and placement during the consultation. The enhancement is pre-drawn for your approval before the procedure begins.

What should I expect after treatment?

Colour appears darker and more defined for the first 5–7 days, then softens as the skin heals. Mild swelling and itching are normal, avoid picking or rubbing the area to allow natural healing.

Is it safe?

Yes, strict hygiene and safety standards are maintained at all times. Only sterile, single-use needles are used, and all pigments are hypoallergenic and approved for cosmetic use.

How can I prevent fading?

Daily sunscreen use is essential. UV exposure is the main cause of premature fading.

How many treatments are needed?

Permanent makeup is a two-step process, with the second session done 4–6 weeks later to perfect the result.

Can I be allergic?

Allergic reactions are very rare. A patch test can be done beforehand if requested to check for sensitivity to pigment or anaesthetic.

Will it look natural?

Absolutely. Enhancements are designed to complement your skin tone, hair colour, and facial features, ensuring subtle, natural-looking results.

How long does it last?

Results typically last 15–18 months, depending on skin type and lifestyle. A colour boost is recommended annually to maintain vibrancy.
